The sutures are made from glycolide/L-lactide (PLGA), a polymer that has been used for years and is well tolerated by the body. These fully resorbable sutures have bi-directional cones and knots placed strategically along the threads, which are also resorbable. The cones and knots provide both lift and anchoring to the subcutaneous tissue, holding the threads in place and stimulating the body’s production of collagen to replace depleted facial volume.

A consultation, (which consists of manipulating the skin to see which direction provides the best cosmetic result), determines where the threads will be placed and the skin is marked.A local anesthesia is administered to the treatment sites and the doctor gently inserts a needle to the required depth and guides it to the exit point. This is repeated until all threads are placed. The skin is then advanced over the threads and the lift is achieved. The treated area is cleansed and recovery balm is placed over the injected sites. Minimal swelling & bruising can be experienced up to 7 days post procedure.

The Silhouette InstaLift™ doesn’t use hooks or barbs, but repositions the underlying layers of the skin utilizing a patented bi-directional knot and cone design. Unlike the old permanent threads which were placed in the skin and remained forever, the InstaLift threads are fully reabsorbable. InstaLift uses biodegradable sutures with soft cones which dissolve over time while ensuring the lift power your skin needs.

Yes! What makes SilhoueteInstalift™ so effective is the presence of tiny cones spaced along the entire length of the thread. When the thread is pulled, the soft cones latch on to the tissue, pulling the entire area. Because no single point sustains the brunt of pulling, the lift is very uniform, looking smooth and natural.
